This image is a contemporary interpretation of the windswept pines made famous by the Group of Seven. Artist Jessica Vergeer lives in Parry Sound, Ontario, where she operates a gallery and store. She draws her inspiration from exploring the Muskoka and Georgian Bay area. This scene manages to capture the movement of swirling clouds and wind-bent trees, yet still offers a breathtaking serenity as the sun sets over the bay.
