The snowy owl is the emblematic bird of Quebec and the fourth in a series of provincial birds created by artist Glenn Gobuyan. For the Inuit, it (Ukpik) is a symbol of wisdom, guidance, and powerful communication of change. As beautiful as it is formidable, the snowy owl has specialized plumage that allows it to fly almost silently and hunt its prey from ambush.
